Hey China Apparel Ltd is a specialized manufacturer T-shirts, Golfers, Vests, Ladies Fashion Tops located in Zhejiang province China. We currently have offices in South Africa, Durban. All manufacturing takes place at our modern well-equipped factory, which employs over 1000 machinists located over five production floors.
We currently manufacture private label garments for retailers in Australia, South Africa and Europe.
Production Facilities
Our modern, well-equipped factory is regularly audited by the representatives of the retailers that we supply to include w.r.t quality systems, production capabilities, safety and social awareness. The most recent audit carried out at our production facilities being in April 2008 for Target Australia.
All equipment is less than 5 years old and the majority of sewing machines are Japanese brands, computerized, with underbed trimmers etc.
We are a vertical operation with wholly owned knitting plants manufacturing microfibre, cotton elastane and single jersey for our own consumption and for supply to other manufacturers.
Product Development
Average lead times for new fashion styles are 45-60 days with a quicker turn around for core and replenishment styles.
We have a well-established and experienced sample department. The normal turn around time for initial fit/rail samples is one week. The sample room has the ability to generate samples from photographs, diagrams or specs and with our design department traveling regularly to Europe and the US, they are up to date with current fashion and design trends.
We also employ an in-house graphic artist to generate original artworks for rotary and placement prints for our T-Shirts.
We are able to offer completely designed seasonal T-Shirt ranges.
CAD is used for pattern generation and grading.
Quality Control
We have implemented a stringent quality control program through the formal training of QA management and the development of a written QA manual at the factory.
Quality inspection takes place on all raw materials on receipt. Bulk pattern and grading quality is assured through the making of pre production samples, full size sets and a pre production meeting involving QA, technical and production personnel.
Inline inspections and measurements are carried out during manufacture. Final inspections employ level 1 AQL 2.5% standards. Our packing and ticketing areas are separated by client allowing us to concentrate on specific packing, ticketing and labeling, metal detection etc requirements of the individual clients.
Our experienced management team is fully bilingual in English and Chinese and travel regularly internationally and are aware of current trends in underwear and fashion.
